5 Reasons Why I Love Being A Blogger

Hi pretties!
Blogging is not the easiest path—it’s full of long evenings, latte-fuelled edits, and a LOT of self-doubt. But six years (and counting) later, I can confidently say: I wouldn’t trade it for anything. Here are the five reasons why being a blogger still lights me up.

The ability to express myself

Writing lets me share what I feel more easily than what I say. Being neurodivergent (with autism and ADHD) means the words sometimes jumble in my mind. However, on the screen, they are finally clear. Blogging became my voice. It’s where I say what’s on my heart—even when it’s messy.

I love sharing my experiences

This space has documented my experiences. It covers grief and loss (my father, uncle, cousin, grandmother). It also includes jobs, relationships, travels, and blogging growth. It has become a record of me. When I share honestly, I connect with readers who feel less alone. That’s what makes it meaningful.

I Create What I Want to See Online

Flat-lays, coquette bows, pinky aesthetics, and real talk—not everybody’s feed looks like that, but mine does. I stopped chasing editorial-perfection and started creating the visuals and stories I wanted to consume. Blogging gave me that freedom.

It’s a Mini Time Capsule

I get to look back at what I used to love. I see what I wore, what I thought, and what I believed. All this is thanks to my old posts. For a near-31-year-old me, seeing my 20-year-old self in pixel form? Suddenly it’s nostalgia, growth and memory, all wrapped up in blog posts.

Total Creative Freedom

Unlike some social-platform constraints, blogging lets me go wherever I want: mental health, travel, content-creator life, beauty, fashion. I don’t have to decide if it’s “safe” or “brand-friendly” first. I just write. That doesn’t mean no challenges—it just means more authenticity.

Why It Matters

Because behind every post is you. Your journey, your growth, your voice. Blogging isn’t just a hobby—it’s a medium that blends personal history, visual style, meaningful connection and creative freedom. For me, it’s been both lifeline and launch pad.
