5 Affordable Cozy Games on Steam

by

Hello friends! I love a good cozy game every now and again, but unfortunately, games can be quite expensive. However, there are a few good affordable ($20 or under) cozy games, and even some free ones! Here are some affordable cozy games that are on Steam!

Bear and Breakfast

Bear and Breakfast is a cute little game about a bear named Hank who tries to run his own bed and breakfast business. Hank’s goal is to cater to human clients in order to attract more business to his dilapidated forest home. There are some cool minigames, including a cooking game where you need to use cards in the proper order and gather ingredients.

Cost: $19.99

Coloring Pixels

Coloring Pixels is a game where you color by numbers. They have some free coloring pages, but they also have some paid DLC for less than a dollar each. I love this game because coloring is relaxing and mind numbing. It’s a great game for when you don’t want to play an actual game but want to be cozy.

Cost: Free (DLCs $0.79-0.99)

Stray Cats in Cozy Town

Stray Cats in Cozy Town is a game where you try to find all the hidden cats and water pots in the little town. This game actually did a collaboration with the Humane Society, so all proceeds from their DLC ($1.99) goes towards helping animal shelters. A great cause for a cute game.

Cost: Free (DLC: $1.99)

Plant Therapy

Plant Therapy is a game where you take care of plants and help them survive until the next day. I love this game because there are so many different types of plants you can buy, and the more plants you have, the more difficult it becomes to keep track of all of them.

Cost: Free ($0.99-5.99 for DLC)

My Dream Setup

My Dream Setup is a cute cozy game where you get to build your dream gaming/work setup. It even has cozy lo-fi music. This game is a very calming game, and you even get to be creative with what you want in your workspace. I think this would be an excellent tool for creating an actual dream setup room.

Cost: $5.99

Honorable mentions

Night in the Woods

Night in the Woods is a story game. It’s about a college dropout named Mae, who has had mental health issues. Mae returns to her hometown of Possum Springs, which is located in the Rust Belt, and soon finds herself in the middle of a mystery taking place. I love how this game focuses on mental health and doesn’t put a stigma on it at all.

Cost: $19.99

Grimm’s Hollow

Grimm’s Hollow is a cute little game that reminds me of Undertale. You play a character named Lavender, who has just discovered she is dead. She is also looking for her brother Timmy. Her goal is to sneak past the other Reapers and into the cave where her brother is supposedly being held.
